Senior Data Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Management Specialist to manage, analyze, and optimize complex datasets supporting business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, SQL Server, data management, and banking or financial services data, along with exposure to modern data platforms and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, analyze, validate, and maintain large and complex datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction processes.

- Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server for data management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

- Support data integration, transformation, reconciliation, and quality management activities.

- Collaborate with business, technology, analytics, and reporting teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

- Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective measures.

- Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives using relevant data tools and platforms.

- Work with cloud-based and enterprise data platforms, including Amazon Redshift and Oracle, where applicable.

- Establish and follow data governance, documentation, and quality standards.

- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and actionable insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 7 - 9 years of overall experience in data management, data analysis, database development, or a related domain.

- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server.

- Strong proficiency in complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and query optimization.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking or financial services domain.

- Experience working with large datasets, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes.

- Familiarity with Amazon Redshift, Oracle, and business intelligence or reporting tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to cloud data platforms and enterprise data warehousing.

- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and reporting processes.

- Experience supporting business intelligence, analytics, or regulatory reporting initiatives.
