Senior Consultant - SAP-SAP ABAP OOPS

Job Description

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant for its S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role focuses on end‑to‑end ABAP development, OOPS design, interface creation, debugging, and production support for S/4HANA environments. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants and lead technical initiatives to ensure high‑quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP OOPS objects, reports, BAPIs, and enhancements for S/4HANA.
• Implement interfaces using IDocs, ALE, RFC, and OData services.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level production support and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead technical design workshops and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and SAP best practices.
• Participate in migration and upgrade activities to S/4HANA.
• Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the delivery team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP OOPS, BAPI, BADI, User‑Exits, and enhancements.
• Experience with S/4HANA technical stack and SAP NetWeaver.
• Proficiency in developing interfaces (IDoc, ALE, RFC, OData).
• Solid debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience in production support and incident management.
• Good understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD) and business processes.
• Ability to work independently and lead small technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; SAP certification is a plus.
