Senior Associate - Environment

Position: Senior Environmental Engineer

Experience: 3+ Years

Location: Hybrid (Remote / On-Site - Ranchi, Jharkhand)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Environmental Engineer to support environmental consulting projects related to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and Carbon Footprint Assessment (CFP). The candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental studies, preparing technical reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA):

• Prepare and review EIA reports for industrial, infrastructure, mining, and development projects.
• Conduct baseline environmental data analysis and impact prediction.
• Assess impacts on air, water, soil, noise, ecology, and socio-economic environments.
• Ensure compliance with EIA Notification and relevant environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical experts during project execution

Environmental Management Plan (EMP):

• Develop project-specific EMPs covering pollution control, waste management, resource conservation, and environmental monitoring.
• Recommend mitigation measures for identified environmental impacts.
• Design environmental monitoring programs and performance indicators.
• Support implementation and compliance monitoring of EMP commitments.

Carbon Footprint Assessment (CFP):

• Conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and carbon footprint assessments.
• Calculate Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions using recognized methodologies.
• Analyze energy consumption and emission sources across industrial operations.
• Identify emission reduction opportunities and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare carbon accounting reports and support decarbonization planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Remote Sensing and GIS Engineering or Applied Sciences and related fields.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of environmental monitoring and pollution control systems.
• Familiarity with CPCB, SPCB, MoEF&CC guidelines, and environmental clearance processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, GIS tools, and environmental data analysis software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
