Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of core accounting, statutory compliance, payroll validation, and auditing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in accounting systems and Excel, with the ability to ensure accurate financial records and timely compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• GST & TDS Compliance: Handle GST and TDS calculations, reconciliations, documentation, and statutory compliance.
• Payroll Validation: Verify payroll inputs, salary calculations, deductions, and statutory components to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Auditing: Support internal and external audits, prepare audit schedules, and maintain relevant financial records and supporting documents.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
• Financial Documentation: Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• MIS & Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and other accounting-related statements as required.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, internal financial policies, and statutory requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and journal entries.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in payroll validation and auditing.
• Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
• Hands-on experience in preparing BRS and performing account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• CMA Inter or CMA Qualified.
• Relevant experience in accounting, finance, and statutory compliance.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in financial records.
