SDRE II

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design and Scaling: Build, scale, and maintain the backbone of Zomato's microservices and platform infrastructure across AWS, but GCP is highly preferred.
• Platform Engineering: Drive cloud architecture initiatives focusing on container orchestration, service mesh topologies, and seamless CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Observability and Monitoring: Create, track, and maintain SLOs, SLAs, and dashboards to detect performance regressions before they impact customers.
• Incident Response and Post-Mortems: Act as an escalation point for production issues. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and foster a strong, collaborative, blameless post-mortem culture.
• Toil Reduction and Automation: Continuously write automation scripts and tools to eliminate repetitive operational workloads.

Requirements:

• Languages: High proficiency in Golang (highly preferred) or Python.
• 4+ years of experience.
• Cloud and Containers: Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Systems and Networks: Deep understanding of Linux internals, OS behaviors (threading, processes), and standard networking protocols.
• Data Layer: Basic debugging knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases/caches (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).
