SAP Security Consultant

Job Summary

This hybrid day shift role is for a Project Manager with six to eight years of experience specializing in SAP security and compliance across complex enterprise environments. The Project Manager will coordinate and deliver SAP security and GRC access control initiatives that protect business data and ensure regulatory adherence. Responsibilities

• Lead end to end planning and execution of SAP security and GRC access control projects to meet agreed scope schedule and quality targets while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment
• Oversee SAP security design and configuration activities to ensure that role structures authorization objects and segregation of duties rules effectively protect critical business data
• Coordinate detailed SAP security audits and compliance reviews to identify control gaps define remediation actions and support sustained audit readiness for internal and external assessments
• Drive continuous improvement in SAP security processes by analyzing incident trends control failures and change management data and implementing practical enhancements that reduce risk
• Manage project governance including status reporting risk and issue tracking and dependency management so that decision makers have clear visibility into security delivery progress
• Provide guidance to functional and technical teams on SAP access risk mitigation and compliant role provisioning ensuring that business requirements are met without compromising control objectives
• Collaborate with business process owners and security operations teams to streamline user access workflows and request approvals leading to faster onboarding and safer access patterns
• Align project deliverables with company security standards and industry regulations so that SAP environments remain compliant and support the organization purpose of trusted digital services
• Coordinate testing activities for security and GRC changes including unit integration and user acceptance testing to confirm that new controls function as intended in production like conditions
• Support hybrid working practices by organizing clear communication routines digital collaboration tools and structured documentation that keep distributed project teams synchronized and productive
• Contribute to cross domain initiatives where SAP security intersects with data driven research enabling safer handling of information in fields such as cheminformatics and bioinformatics
• Engage stakeholders in workshops and review sessions to explain risk findings upcoming changes and expected benefits thereby strengthening awareness and commitment to secure business operations
• Document project outcomes lessons learned and updated security standards so that future initiatives can reuse proven approaches and amplify the impact of current work on organizational resilience
  
  

Qualifications

• Apply advanced knowledge of SAP security GRC access control configuration to design and optimize roles workflows and risk rules in line with business and compliance expectations
• Use hands on experience in SAP security audits and compliance assessments to interpret audit criteria map them to system controls and advise teams on pragmatic remediation strategies
• Employ practical skills in SAP security monitoring and incident review to support detection of unauthorized activities and recommend durable preventive and detective controls
• Leverage familiarity with SAP security governance practices to help define policies and operating procedures that improve consistency of access management across applications
• Utilize any exposure to cheminformatics and bioinformatics domains to better understand specialized data protection needs and tailor SAP security controls to research intensive environments
• Demonstrate strong project management capabilities in planning estimation resource coordination and risk management gained over six to eight years of running technology projects
• Apply excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate complex SAP security topics into clear actions for business users technical teams and audit partners
  
  

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Technology Specialist Security and Authorization and Certified Information Systems Auditor or equivalent
