Job Description: SAP HCM Consultant (03+ Years)

Location: Patna, Bihar

Experience: 03+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) Consultant with 03+ years of SAP consulting and implementation experience. The candidate will participate in SAP HCM Business Blue Printing (As Is & To Be assessment), solution design, configuration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong functional expertise in procurement, inventory management, vendor management, and integration with other SAP modules.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be capable of working closely with business users, leadership teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management (TM), Payroll (PY), and finance stakeholders.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy SAP HCM solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Lead end-to-end SAP HCM implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.

Configure and maintain:

• Personnel Administration (PA): Employee master data, infotypes, personnel actions, dynamic actions, organizational assignments, hiring, transfer, promotion, termination, and retirement.
• Organizational Management (OM): Organizational units, jobs, positions, relationships, reporting structures, evaluation paths, and organizational assignments.
• Time Management (TM/PT): Work schedules, absence/attendance management, time quotas, holiday calendars, time evaluation, and payroll integration.
• Payroll (PY): Payroll configuration, wage types, schemas, PCRs, control record, regular/off-cycle payroll, reconciliation, and FI posting.
• ESS/MSS: Employee and Manager Self-Service, HR workflows, leave/attendance, and employee master-data processes.
• Manage integration with:
• Experience with SAP HCM/SAP Payroll in an S/4HANA environment.
• Exposure to ECC-to-S/4HANA HCM/Payroll migration or transformation projects.
• Integration with FI/CO and coordination with ABAP, integration, security, and technical teams.
• Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll integration.
• Knowledge of interfaces, IDocs, APIs, middleware, or other HR system integrations.
• Support month-end and year-end Payroll closing activities and SAP HCM implementations.
• Analyse and resolve production incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Prepare functional specifications for developments, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, and technical teams during development and deployment cycles.
• Conduct user training sessions and prepare process documentation.
• Drive process optimization and best practices across SAP HCM implementations and Payroll Processing.
• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Project Experience

• Minimum 1 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation projects preferred.
• Experience in support and AMS engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, HR , Commerce, or related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• SAP HCM Certification preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA HCM - Payroll Certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Utilities, Retail, FMCG, Pharma, Manufacturing, EPC or Public Sector organizations.
• Exposure to S/4 Hana HCM Payroll.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

• SAP Practice Lead / ERP Delivery Manager / IT Head

Location Requirement

The candidate should be willing to work from Patna, Bihar, and travel occasionally to customer locations as required by project engagements.
