SAP HANA & Ariba Basis Consultant

Objective / Purpose of the job:

We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA & Ariba Basis Consultant with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA database operations and SAP Ariba technical support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security and smooth operation of the SAP S/4HANA and Ariba landscape.

The role will involve working closely with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, SAP functional teams, SAP/RISE support teams and implementation partners.

Qualification- Engineering graduate with minimum 5 -10 years of experience in SAP Basis.

Key Activities / Accountabilities :

SAP Basis & HANA Administration

• Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration and production support activities.
• Support SAP S/4HANA / HANA database administration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Monitor SAP systems, HANA database, system performance, availability and capacity.
• Perform user administration, role-related technical activities and system housekeeping.
• Manage SAP transports, system refreshes, jobs, RFCs, interfaces and background processing.
• Troubleshoot SAP system, database, performance and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with SAP and infrastructure teams for incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Support SAP upgrades, patches, kernel upgrades and system maintenance activities.
• Monitor system logs, dumps, locks, work processes and other Basis parameters.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster-recovery and high-availability activities.
• Manage authorizations

SAP Ariba Technical Support

• Provide Basis/technical support for SAP Ariba solutions and integrations.
• Support Ariba integration with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Ariba interfaces, integration flows and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with SAP Ariba, SAP Integration Suite/CIG and other technical support teams.
• Support configuration and troubleshooting of integration-related issues between Ariba and S/4HANA.
• Assist in Ariba implementation, enhancements, upgrades and production support activities.
• Manage authorizations

Integration & Interface Management

• Monitor SAP interfaces, RFCs, APIs, IDocs and other integration mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues between SAP, Ariba and third-party applications.
• Coordinate with functional and external vendor teams for timely resolution of interface failures.
• Maintain technical documentation, system architecture and operational procedures.

RISE / Cloud Environment

• Support SAP S/4HANA environments hosted on SAP RISE / cloud infrastructure.
• Coordinate with SAP RISE/BTP support teams for infrastructure, incidents, service requests and technical issues.
• Monitor system availability, performance and capacity in coordination with SAP.
• Support technical activities related to cloud-based SAP environments.
