SAP FICO/Finance Business Analyst

About the Role:

iPivot is looking for an experienced SAP FICO / Finance Business Analyst to support finance transformation initiatives, SAP Finance processes, and business requirements analysis.

The ideal candidate will combine functional knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling with an understanding of financial accounting, process improvement, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyze, and document finance business requirements, functional specifications, and business process workflows.

- Analyze and support SAP FI/CO processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Controlling.

- Evaluate existing financial processes and identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.

- Support Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

- Coordinate with Finance, IT, and implementation teams to translate business requirements into SAP functional solutions.

- Support SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation, enhancement, and migration initiatives.

- Conduct business process mapping, gap analysis, impact assessment, and root-cause analysis.

- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and deployment activities.

- Analyze financial data discrepancies and support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.

- Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional documentation, process flows, and stakeholder presentations.

Required Skills:

- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in SAP FICO, Finance Business Analysis, or SAP Finance functional consulting.

- Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes.

- Functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Cost Centre Accounting.

- Understanding of R2R, P2P, and financial close processes.

- Experience in business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and functional documentation.

- Knowledge of SAP integration with modules such as MM and SD.

- Experience with functional testing, UAT, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or SAP ECC.

- Exposure to finance transformation, implementation, or migration projects.

- Knowledge of financial reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms.

- Experience with financial data reconciliation, process controls, and reporting improvements.
