Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BASIS Support Consultant to manage SAP landscape administration, technical operations, performance optimization, and production support.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP HANA, system upgrades, patching, system refreshes, and L2/L3 production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP system monitoring, administration, and proactive health checks.
- Manage SAP kernel upgrades, patching, Support Packages, and SAP Notes.
- Administer SAP transports using TMS, CTS+, and ChaRM.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, system dumps, system logs, and production incidents.
- Support SAP HANA database administration, backup/restore validation, and performance tuning.
- Execute SAP system copies, client copies, system refreshes, and post-refresh activities.
- Support SAP security, user administration, authorization troubleshooting, RFCs, and SSL/TLS certificates.
- Assist with high availability, disaster recovery, and SAP integration connectivity.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve critical production issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, functional consultants, PMO, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, change management, and on-call support as required.
Required Skills
- 14+ years of relevant SAP BASIS experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
- Expertise in SAP HANA administration and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP upgrades, kernel upgrades, patching, and Support Packages.
- Hands-on experience with SAP system refreshes, system copies, client copies, and BDLS.
- Strong knowledge of TMS, CTS+, and/or ChaRM.
- Experience with SAP performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including SM50, SM66, ST03N, ST22, SM21, and SM12.
- Knowledge of SAP security, authorizations, RFCs, and SSL/TLS certificates.
- Experience in L2/L3 production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, and Agile delivery processes.
Good to Have
- SAP BW/4HANA, SAP PO/PI, SAP Gateway, and SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP HANA high availability and disaster recovery.
- SAP BTP connectivity and SAP Cloud Connector.
- Experience with SUM/DMO, migrations, and complex SAP landscape operations.
