Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Lead to lead SAP BASIS operations, manage a team of consultants, and serve as the primary customer-facing technical lead. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, proactive delivery management, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SAP BASIS consultants, ensuring effective delivery, knowledge sharing, and team development.
• Act as the primary customer-facing lead for SAP BASIS services, building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Drive proactive service management through regular reviews, risk identification, capacity planning, and continuous service improvements.
• Own service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, operational KPIs, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Lead governance meetings, service reviews, escalations, and executive-level communications.
• Manage critical incidents, major outages, and escalations, providing timely resolution and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee SAP BASIS administration activities including installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, patching, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and customer teams to support business and project objectives.
• Identify automation and optimization opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with organizational processes, security standards, audit requirements, and change management practices.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of SAP BASIS experience with strong expertise in SAP HANA, and cloud operations.
• Proven experience leading SAP BASIS teams in managed services or AMS environments.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at operational and leadership levels.
• Experience managing service delivery, governance, escalations, and customer expectations.
• Hands-on experience in SAP upgrades, migrations, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and managed service operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
