About this role
- Understanding of 2D fabrication drawings and validating the Bill of Material (BOM) details, dimensions, material specifications, and quantities mentioned in the drawings.
- Performing accurate BOM entries in the system and ensuring consistency between drawings, material requisitions, and project documentation.
- Calculation of seam lengths, weld joint details, and carrying out seam entries in the system as per applicable standards and project requirements.
- Preparing component drawings in AutoCAD from reference drawings, datasheets, sketches, and engineering inputs while maintaining drafting quality and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Mathematics, Geometry, and Trigonometry for calculation of dimensions, development layouts, and fabrication-related activities.
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD will be an added advantage, including drafting, dimensioning, layer management, and drawing modifications.
- Supporting Senior CAD Engineers in system-related activities such as SHOP DIN creation, DCR DIN preparation, document management, data entry, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinating with Design Engineers and CAD Engineers for drawing updates, revision incorporation, drawing issue resolution, and maintaining project records in the system.
