Rigger Technician, fitter technician

RIGGER

• Perform lifting, shifting, loading, unloading, and positioning of heavy machinery and equipment.
• Select and inspect slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, and other rigging tools before use.
• Assist in crane operations and coordinate with crane operators and signalers.
• Ensure proper balancing, securing, and alignment of loads during lifting operations.
• Follow approved lifting procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
• Identify damaged rigging equipment and report it immediately.

FITTER

• Assemble, dismantle, install, and fit machinery, machine parts, and mechanical components.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings, measurements, and fitting instructions.
• Perform alignment, levelling, bolting, fastening, and adjustment of machine components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting equipment correctly.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of mechanical parts.
• Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
