Regional Pharma Manager - Commercial Procurement

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A dynamic and experienced Manager, who will work closely with the Regional head and various other associated functions
• Experience in a management position and preferably a Graduate with MBA degree from a reputed Institutions, preferably with 8+ years of relevant experience in the Hospital and B2B pharma organization
• Have a proven ability to handle a similar role - Procurement of Pharma preferably, Contacts with principal companies and distributors will be an advantage
• Demonstrate the ability obtain and filter information, identify key issues relevant to the achievement of long-term goals, and commit to the realized course of action for the purpose of accomplishing those goals
• Ability to inspire confidence and create trust and able to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate
• Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners and the workforce as a line leader

COMPETENCY MIX

• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community
• Knowledge of contracting process and associated local / state, and other pharma regulations and pricing etc
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles, procedures, and standards
• Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems with good command over Excel
• Should have good domain knowledge & good analytic abilities, preferably on pharma procurement and vendor management being a lead manager
• Ability to identify and secure alternative sources
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality
• Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
• Good pharma procurement negotiation skills.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB & KEY DELIVERABLES

1. Align with the departmental & Organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures;

• In this context, ensure that purchasing activities are on track to reach important financial objectives and cost-saving targets, and is responsible for Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities.
• Use available tools to Forecast levels of demand for services and products
• Align with strategies made to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met or exceeded
• Onboard & engage with distributors / manufacturers directly to help reduce our costs & increase our margins as much as possible
• Ensure that the orders are placed on time and ensure timely deliveries to the respective WH
• Ability to analysis, identify and suggest alternate brands for driving savings through substitution @customers end

2. Acts as negotiator between MB and vendors/suppliers on procurement contracts; keeps informed of all new developments relative to available resources.

• Negotiate with various vendors and close deals with optimal terms
• Ensure that the required the PO’s are optimized and placed regularly with the vendors/ Suppliers to ensure that the right product is made available at the right time
• Ensure that the quality of service of the supplier and the quality of products is maintained, reviewed regularly to minimize the customer complaints
• Define & Manage reorder levels to ensure optimal working capital cycles
• Review major procurement contracts; coordinate contract compliance, change orders, and problem resolution in conformance with contract law
