Role Description The Recovery Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for managing and improving the collection of outstanding payments from clients. Day-to-day activities include tracking overdue accounts, contacting customers through calls and emails, negotiating payment arrangements, and documenting all recovery efforts in company systems. The role involves coordinating with internal teams such as finance, sales, and customer support to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate account information. The Recovery Executive will prepare regular reports on recovery status, escalate complex cases when needed, and contribute to process improvements to enhance collection efficiency while maintaining professional and respectful customer relationships.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in customer communication and negotiation, with the ability to handle payment discussions professionally and maintain positive relationships.
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets, CRM or billing software, and basic data analysis tools to track accounts, document interactions, and generate recovery reports.
• Solid understanding of basic finance and accounting concepts related to invoicing, receivables, and payment terms, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and follow-ups within defined timelines.
• Problem-solving skills to identify issues in billing or account status and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them efficiently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language proficiency for Chennai-based clients is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, adhere to company policies and targets, and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.
• Preferred qualification: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; prior experience in collections, recovery, or customer service is an added advantage.
