Quality Engineer

Main responsibilities:

Inspection of customer returned products.

Identify Quality issues & parts requirements for overhauling of the product.

Raise overhauling / rework order in ERP.

Ensure First Piece / Setup Approval & Patrolling Inspection as per defined frequency.

Conduct Process & PQE Gemba audit as per plan.

Ensure MO closure to clear material from Quality wall.

Ensure that all the process quality issues are managed through QRQC methodology.

Ensure active participation in Line QRQC & Production QRQC. Verify the Lessons Learnt card generated and PFD/PFMEA/CP/WI updated as per applicability.

Ensure that Design Standards are respected, Critical characteristics identified & defined in PFMEA & control plans are being respected.

Perform Measurement System Analysis & Statistical Process Control Studies in line with agreed plans.

Ensuring PCR validation & Internal FAI with closure of open points and standardise, PFD/PFMEA/C.P /WIS review and update.

Ensure periodic review of skill matrix of QSE team, provide trainings & development plan.

Participate in Customer complaints analysis, issues pertaining to Production lines & actively participate in customer complaints handling for reducing the zero km and warranty failures.

Participate in red bin Analysis for daily rejection clearance & register issues in WIM/QRQC tool.

Update the applicable Quality documentation (Assembly & Testing Check sheets) & initiate Internal FAI/PPAP for ECR / PCR/DRC change management cases.

Provided authority to recommend /Approve leave / shift planning of team members.

Ensuring the implementation of assigned activities under Quality VSM, Quality WMS, EHS WMS as applicable.

Responsible for achievement of target sets for the area responsible.

Motivating and involving sub ordinates in EHS, Quality Improvement plans like Kaizens & Suggestion Scheme.

Maintain IMS & IRIS System requirements.

Provided with authority to stop manufacturing / assembly line in any situation where Quality and safety standards are not being respected.
