About this role
- 10+ years of manual QA on complex web or desktop applications.
- 5+ years of experience in financial markets or trading software, with a good understanding of trading workflows. This can overlap with your QA experience.
- Understanding of the FIX protocol: reading and interpreting FIX messages.
- Experience writing and running structured test cases (TestRail or similar) and working in Jira.
- Experience using browser DevTools to investigate and document issues.
- Experience testing APIs with Postman.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL queries, the command line, Jenkins (checking builds and deployments) and AWS CloudWatch (searching logs).
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, including writing effective prompts.
Nice to Have
- Testing Electron or other desktop applications.
- Cross-browser and device testing with BrowserStack.
- Working knowledge of Git and a JS/TS IDE (VS Code, WebStorm).
- Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
