About this role
About the role
As a QA Associate, you will check and correct product matches before they reach customers. You will compare products across retailer websites, decide whether two listings are the same product, and find matches the system missed. You will follow account-specific matching rules and work with the QA lead to meet daily accuracy and productivity targets.
What you will do
- Review product pairs suggested by our matching system and keep or remove each match based on the accounts rules.
- Search competitor websites for matches the system missed, and add them.
- Compare product details such as brand, model, variant, colour, size, pack count and quantity before deciding on a match.
- Classify each match correctly as an exact match or a similar match, as the account’s rules require.
- Check the product page and the selected variant, not just the title, when details are missing or unclear.
- Record the reason for each rejected or edited match, so errors can be traced and fixed.
- Flag rules that are unclear or contradictory to the QA lead.
- Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets, and act on feedback from quality checks.
What we are looking for
- Strong attention to detail. You notice when “500 g” and “5 x 100 g” or “iPhone 14” and “iPhone 14 Plus” are different products.
- Good reading and comprehension in English.
- Comfort with online shopping websites and web search.
- Basic working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to follow written rules consistently and ask questions when something is unclear.
- Comfort with repetitive, focused work while keeping quality high.
Good to have
- Experience in e-commerce catalog work, product data QA, content moderation or data annotation.
- Familiarity with product categories such as grocery, electronics, fashion or home improvement.
- Comfort with unit conversions (ml to litres, oz to grams) and per-unit price comparison.
