Role Description The Purchase and Store Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai at The Shalimar Hotel. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and placing orders in line with hotel standards and budget guidelines. The Purchase and Store Executive maintains accurate inventory records, oversees receiving and inspection of goods, and ensures proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation. The role also includes monitoring stock levels, preparing purchase and stock reports, coordinating with accounts and operations teams, and supporting smooth functioning of all departments through timely availability of materials. The executive is expected to follow procurement policies, maintain compliance with quality and safety norms, and contribute to cost-effective and efficient store management.
Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Experience in retail or hospitality operations and a basic understanding of sales and purchasing processes.
• Educational background in commerce, business, or a related field, with knowledge of inventory management and procurement principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inventory or ERP software, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Prior experience in hotel purchasing or store management is an advantage.
