Pulses and Grains Trader

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pulses / Grains Trader with strong expertise in commodity trading, procurement, market analysis, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in trading pulses, grains, and other agricultural commodities, with a strong understanding of market prices, trading margins, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trading of pulses and/or grains.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, millers, brokers, and bulk buyers.
• Identify procurement opportunities and profitable trading deals.
• Monitor commodity prices, market trends, demand, and supply.
• Negotiate purchase and sales contracts to maximize profitability.
• Manage trading volumes, margins, inventory, and market risks.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehousing, and finance teams.
• Develop new business opportunities and expand the trading network.
• Ensure timely execution of purchase and sales transactions.

Required Skills

• 10-25 years of experience in pulses and/or grains trading.
• Strong commodity market knowledge and negotiation skills.
• Established supplier, broker, miller, and buyer network.
• Expertise in price discovery, procurement, and sales.
• Understanding of trading margins, market fluctuations, and risk management.
• Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills.
