Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Head to lead and manage the complete execution of lighting projects at Spectra Luminaires. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, coordination, site execution, installation, commissioning and timely project delivery while ensuring quality, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Management

• Lead end-to-end execution of lighting projects, from project initiation to final handover.
• Develop project schedules, execution plans, timelines and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within approved budgets.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure effective resource allocation.

2. Site Execution & Monitoring

• Conduct regular visits to project sites across the city to monitor execution and progress.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of lighting fixtures and luminaires.
• Ensure execution is in accordance with approved lighting layouts, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with site engineers, electricians, contractors and installation teams.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues at project sites

3. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for project-related coordination.
• Liaise with architects, lighting designers, consultants, contractors, builders and clients.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project status updates.
• Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and maintain strong professional relationships.

4. Technical & Quality Management

• Possess a sound understanding of architectural lighting, decorative lighting and technical luminaires.
• Review lighting layouts, BOQs, drawings and product specifications.
• Ensure correct product selection, installation and functionality.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure timely closure of site snags and defects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety and quality standards.

5. Team & Vendor Management

• Lead and manage project engineers, supervisors, technicians and installation teams.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, design, logistics and warehouse teams.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
• Drive team productivity and accountability.

6. Commercial & Documentation

• Monitor project budgets, material consumption and execution costs.
• Track project variations, additional requirements and scope changes.
• Maintain project schedules, site reports, progress trackers and completion documentation.
• Ensure smooth project handover and client sign-off.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in project management, preferably in lighting, MEP projects/ Interior Fit
• Strong understanding of architectural lighting, lighting fixtures, installation techniques and commissioning.
• Proven track record of independently managing multiple projects.
• Experience in handling contractors, consultants, clients and site execution teams.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, lighting layouts, BOQs and specifications.
• Good knowledge of MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
