About the opportunity: Ascensia Diabetes Care is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Product Specialist to drive product awareness, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to improving diabetes care outcomes. The role is accountable for executing the defined Sales and Marketing strategy by promoting Ascensia Diabetes Care products and building strong partnerships with Healthcare Professionals and Retail Pharmacies. The Product Specialist drives business growth by increasing product adoption, expanding the customer base across Cardiologists, Diabetologists, General Physicians, Endocrinologists, Nephrologists, and Gynecologists, while ensuring sustainable and profitable territory development. This position reports to the Area Business Manager.

Location: Bhubaneshwar, Orissa.

Work Model: This is a field-based role that requires regular travel within the assigned territory and direct engagement with healthcare professionals and retail business.

What you will be doing:

• Achieve assigned territory sales, market share, and business growth objectives by executing sales and marketing strategies and expanding product adoption across Healthcare Professionals, Retail Pharmacies, Institutions, and Hospitals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Healthcare Professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), retail partners, and institutional customers to generate new business, strengthen customer engagement, and increase recommendations for Ascensia Diabetes Care products.
• Plan and execute effective territory coverage and customer engagement activities, including regular customer visits, promotional campaigns, KOL programs and other marketing initiatives.
• Maintain accurate customer records, generate market intelligence, identify new business opportunities, and ensure timely reporting to support effective territory planning and business growth.
• Maintain a high level of product and therapeutic knowledge while ensuring full compliance with Ascensia Diabetes Care policies, corporate governance requirements, reporting standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

What you need for success:

• Bachelor's degree in science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing is preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales experience in the Healthcare, Medical Devices, OTC, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in territory management and promoting products to Healthcare Professionals, Retail Pharmacies, and/or Institutional customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/sales reporting
