Role Description The Podcast Editor role at Atmadhruti is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The Podcast Editor will be responsible for editing and enhancing podcast audio, including cleaning recordings, adjusting levels, adding music or sound effects, and ensuring clear, high-quality sound. Daily tasks include organizing raw audio files, creating episode structures, aligning content with the organization's mission, and collaborating with content creators and coaches to maintain a consistent tone and narrative. The role also involves preparing episodes for publication, managing file formats and metadata, and coordinating with the team on release schedules and feedback-driven improvements.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in audio editing and mixing using professional digital audio workstations (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or similar tools).
• Experience with podcast production workflows, including file management, episode structuring, and integrating music, intros, outros, and sound design.
• Ability to maintain clear, balanced sound quality, including noise reduction, EQ, compression, and volume normalization across multiple episodes.
• Basic understanding of publishing podcasts to platforms (e.g., RSS feeds, hosting services) and optimizing audio formats and metadata.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with coaches, hosts, and content teams in an on-site environment.
• Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to meet consistent release deadlines.
• Interest in wellbeing, life planning, or holistic development, with sensitivity to the organization's mission and values.
• Relevant education or training in audio engineering, media production, communications, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience is valued.
