About this role
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing & Firefighting Draftsman with strong expertise in MEP building services design. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, code-compliant plumbing and fire protection drawings, including layouts, schematic diagrams, and construction documents. The role requires close coordination with design and engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plumbing System Drafting
- Conduct site visits; prepare DBRs (Detailed Basis of Reports), BOQs, and tender documentation.
- Prepare detailed layout drawings for toilets, water supply, and drainage systems.
- Develop schematic diagrams for water supply and drainage systems.
- Design and draft drawings for WTP (Water Treatment Plant), STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), and RO systems.
- Prepare plant room layouts for plumbing services.
- Create tank puddle flange detail drawings.
- Develop external layouts for stormwater drainage and sewage systems.
- Fire Protection System Drafting
- Prepare detailed floor layout drawings for sprinklers, hydrants, and fire extinguishers.
- Develop internal and external fire hydrant system layouts.
- Prepare fire protection schematic diagrams.
- Create fire submission drawings for statutory approval.
- Design detailed piping layouts for fire pump rooms and plant rooms.
- Prepare puddle flange detail drawings for fire system piping.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Drafting, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
- 5-15 years of experience in MEP drafting with specialization in plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant MEP drafting tools.
- Good understanding of plumbing and fire protection codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with high drafting accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
