Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering

Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in PLC programming / industrial automation

Role Overview: An entry-level PLC programming role for candidates with a Diploma qualification and 1–2 years of practical experience. The role will support PLC-based automation development, testing, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning, with a strong focus on hands-on implementation.

· Hands-on knowledge of PLC programming and basic industrial automation concepts.

· Understanding of digital and analog I/O, sensors, actuators, relays and control circuits.

· Basic knowledge of HMI and PLC communication / networking concepts.

· Ability to read and understand electrical control schematics.

· Basic understanding of machine sequence, interlocking and troubleshooting.

· Good MS Office skills.

· Understand customer requirements and project deliverables related to PLC-based automation.

· Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs under project requirements and engineering standards.

· Support PLC logic development, I/O mapping, sequencing and machine-control functions.

· Participate in panel / machine testing, simulation, debugging and commissioning activities.

· Travel to customer / supplier / vendor locations for testing, installation and commissioning as required.

· Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, sensor, actuator and control-related issues at customer sites.

· Support preparation and updating of technical documentation, I/O lists, backups and project records.

· Track assigned automation activities and coordinate with the engineering team until project completion.

· Provide after-sales technical assistance and support corrective actions for field issues.

· Support training / demonstrations for operators or customers when required.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with diverse local / global teams.

· Good training and presentation skills are desirable.

· Good MS Office skills.

· Exposure to industrial automation projects, machine controls or shop-floor automation.

· Willingness to travel to customer / supplier / vendor locations for discussions, testing, installation and commissioning.

· Ability to support troubleshooting and provide technical assistance at customer sites.
