Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plastic Surgeon role based at Apollo Hospitals in Raurkela. The Plastic Surgeon will perform reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing conditions, discussing treatment options with patients and families, and coordinating multidisciplinary care with other medical specialists. The role involves performing complex surgeries, including microsurgical procedures, managing inpatient and outpatient cases, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Plastic Surgeon will also contribute to clinical documentation, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and support ongoing professional development and teaching activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Plastic Surgery and Surgery, with experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.
• Proficiency in Cosmetic Surgery, including facial, body contouring, and skin-related interventions.
• Advanced skills in Microsurgery for complex reconstructive cases involving nerves, vessels, and soft tissue.
• Solid foundation in Medicine, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and perioperative care.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery (MCh / DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration.
• Previous experience in a tertiary care or high-volume hospital setting is highly desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ethical standards of care.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and strong patient counseling abilities.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and teaching or mentoring activities.
