About this role
Job Role - Plant Purchase
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle PR, RFQ, quotation comparison and PO processes.
- Procure raw materials, plant spares, MRO items, consumables, tools, PPE and services.
- Identify, develop and coordinate with vendors/suppliers.
- Negotiate price, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Maintenance, Quality, Finance and Logistics.
- Monitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD).
- Resolve material shortage, quality, delivery and documentation issues.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor data, POs and procurement reports.
- Support cost reduction and alternate vendor development.
Required Skills:
- Raw Material & Plant Procurement
- Vendor Management & Negotiation
- PR / RFQ / PO / GRN / Invoice Process
- SAP B1 & MS Excel
- Manufacturing / Plant Purchase Knowledge
Education: BE/B.Tech – Mechanical
Experience: 3–5 Years in Plant Purchase / Procurement, preferably in the Industrial Automation or Manufacturing Industry
