Qualifications

B.E. / D.M.E. in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering

Experience

Minimum 20–25 years of experience in foundry and machine shop production.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Sound knowledge of Melting, Shell Molding, Machining and Heat Treatment processes.
• Strong knowledge of Heat Treatment, Machining, and New Product Development (NPD).
• Strong workforce management, leadership and team-building skills.
• Sound knowledge of Process Design and Development.
• Sound knowledge of Preventive & Unplanned Maintenance.
• Good communication skills and Customer Relationship Management.
• Ability to effectively handle Customer Complaints, Customers and Third-Party Audits.
• Strong focus on improving Product Efficiency and reducing Manufacturing Costs.

Roles & Responsibilities

(1) Production Planning & Control (PPC)

• Develop and manage the Dispatch Plan.
• Develop and monitor the Production Plan.
• Plan RM (Raw Material) & Consumables requirements.
• Manage Customer Communication regarding Production Planning.
• Conduct Capacity Assessment and communicate capacity to Customers.

(2) Production

• Plan production in line with the Dispatch Plan.
• Ensure plan vs. achievement.
• Monitor production downtime and take corrective actions.
• Ensure Manpower Availability.
• Set Goals / Objectives.
• Ensure ERP Entries.

(3) Quality

• Ensure In-house PPM targets.
• Ensure Customer PPM targets.
• Ensure Manpower Availability.
• Set Goals / Objectives.
• Ensure ERP Entries.
• Arrange Third-Party Audits.
• Conduct Machining Supplier Audits.
• Ensure Document & Data Control.
• Manage Calibration Activities – In-house & Outsourced.
• Ensure QMS & EOHS implementation and updates.
• Drive Kaizens & Continuous Improvement.

(4) New Product Development (NPD)

• Ensure Product Development is completed on time.
• Design Processes to Ensure First-Time Right.
• Manage Customer Communication regarding NPD.
• Set Goals / Objectives.
• Regularize standard charges.

(5) Pattern Shop

• Pattern Design.
• Manage Tool Room work related to Patterns.
• Maintain Pattern Records.

(6) Others

• Work with Finance for Costing of New Products.
