We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Services Advisor to join our growing People Operations team in Hyderabad. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and scale our brand-new India hub during a period of rapid expansion. In this role, you will be the backbone of our frontline HR support, delivering efficient administrative services to employees and managers across the region. As a primary point of contact for HR inquiries, you will ensure a seamless employee experience while maintaining accurate records in full compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring you to be in the Hyderabad office at least 3 days per week and giving you the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 2 days. You will report to the People Services Manager on the Global People Services team.
What you ll be doing
- Act as a confident and empathetic first line of support for employees, managers and stakeholders, translating complex HR processes into clear, accessible language
- Own the ticket escalation process on our case management platform: monitor incoming cases, assess urgency, collaborate with the relevant teams, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate HR specialist or HR Manager where required, managing high volumes efficiently without compromising accuracy or response times
- Execute full cycle, end-to-end HR administration while maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring HRIS (Workday) data integrity and confidentiality, including but not limited to:
- Onboarding: preparation of employment contracts and new hire documentation, medical insurance registration and new joiner orientation, supporting high-volume hiring and acting as the key point of contact across HR, IT, facilities and hiring managers for a smooth first day
- Offboarding: processing resignation and termination paperwork and conducting exit administration
- Employee lifecycle: accurately processing high volumes of employee data changes (e.g. job changes, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments) and supporting leave and absence queries
- Support payroll preparation, ensuring records are accurate and processed in a timely manner, particularly during high-volume payroll cycles
- Prepare HR-related letters, certificates and other documents as required (e.g. employment verification and salary certificates, relieving and experience letters)
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on key people metrics and support the preparation of HR data dashboards for relevant teams, to enable data-driven decision-making across the business
- Collaborate with Government Relations, COEs, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and IT on India statutory and regulatory requirements and any other queries on request, proactively keeping stakeholders informed
- Stay current with changes and emerging trends in India Labour Law, ensuring all HR administrative activities comply with India Labour Law, company policies and data protection requirements (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and GDPR principles)
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR administrative processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the People Services function
- Support the development and documentation of HR processes and procedures with a focus on scalability for high-volume periods, identify opportunities to use AI to address inefficiencies, and proactively recommend improvements
- Any other tasks as directed by your Line Manager
Requirements
- 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably in India
- Strong understanding of standard HR administration processes and best practices
- Foundational knowledge of India Labour Law
- Experience using Workday desirable
- Great stakeholder management skills, proactively keeping all stakeholders up to date
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in English, able to adapt your style depending on the audience
- Proficiency in Hindi and/or Telugu is a plus
