Payroll Lead

Company Overview

Our client is a Non Deposit NBFC registered with the Reserve Bank Of India.

Position Overview

The role leads the payroll team, manages complex payroll issues, strengthens controls, and partners with HR and Finance to provide reliable employee service and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• 1. Lead end-to-end payroll processing, including monthly payroll, adjustments, deductions,
• reimbursements, and final settlements.
• 2. Ensure accurate, on-time salary payments and compliance with payroll, tax, statutory, and data privacy requirements.
• 3. Review payroll inputs, exception reports, reconciliations, controls, filings, and audit documentation.
• 4. Resolve employee queries and escalations within agreed timelines.
• 5. Partner with HR, Finance, vendors, and technology teams to maintain accurate employee data and payroll systems.
• 6. Coach the payroll team , standardisation, and process improvements.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• 1. Bachelor's degree in finance.
• 2. 4-7 years of payroll experience, including team or operational leadership.
• 3. Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, statutory deductions, reconciliations, controls, and payroll systems.
• 4. Experience handling high-volume payroll and supporting audits is preferred.
• 5. Excellent accuracy, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and confidentiality.
