Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for executing the organization's payroll activities, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role involves payroll preparation, completing reports, and maintaining payroll records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Processing: Preparation and distribution of the organization's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.

2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations that affect payroll processes.

3. Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management, including payroll summaries, tax liabilities, and other financial reports as required.

4. Systems Management: Maintain and update payroll systems and software. Work with IT and other departments to ensure systems are integrated and functioning properly.

5. Audits and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy. Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

6. Employee Relations: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees.Provide excellent customer service and support to employees regarding payroll matters.

7. Tax Reporting: Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reports. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all payroll taxes.

8. Training and Development: Train and support payroll staff on procedures, software updates, and compliance requirements. Develop and implement training programs as necessary.

9. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate payroll processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Develop and document payroll procedures and policies.

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience,
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labour laws. Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
