Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to operate diesel generator (DG) sets to provide backup or auxiliary power during grid outages or in remote locations without electricity. Responsibilities include ensuring a reliable power supply for critical equipment and operations. The role requires consistent adherence to high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate diesel generators according to load requirements
• Monitor generator performance and conditions
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks
• Ensure proper fueling and lubrication of generators
• Troubleshoot generator issues and faults
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of generator operations and maintenance
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and upgrades
• Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Qualification / Experience

• Education: Diploma/ITI in Mechanical certificate
• Experience: 2-3 years
• Knowledge / Key Skills
  • Understanding of diesel generator operation and maintenance
  • Proficiency in operating diesel generators according to load requirements
  • Knowledge of generator controls and settings
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for generator issues
  • Compliance with safety regulations in generator operations
