Offshore Delivery Leader

Role Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Leadership Role - Offshore Delivery Leader to lead the delivery of strategic enterprise software delivery programs for a key customer account. The ideal candidate will have grown through a strong technical foundation in enterprise software engineering, demonstrating progressive leadership in delivering large-scale software development programs while building high-performing engineering organizations.

This role requires a leader who combines technical credibility with operational excellence, ensuring predictable delivery, engineering quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Leadership:

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple enterprise software development and quality engineering programs.

- Lead and manage large offshore delivery organizations comprising 50 - 200+ engineers across Development, QA, Cloud, DevOps, and AI.

- Ensure delivery commitments are consistently met with high quality, predictability, and customer satisfaction.

- Drive execution excellence across planning, estimation, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, quality, and release management.

- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and delivery excellence.

Technical Leadership:

- Provide technical leadership and guidance across modern software engineering initiatives.

- Possess strong experience in enterprise technologies including .NET, AWS, Playwright, Tosca, APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

- Drive engineering best practices including code quality, automation, cloud-native development, and continuous improvement.

- Promote adoption of AI-assisted software engineering, Generative AI, and Agentic AI to improve engineering productivity and delivery outcomes.

- Be capable of engaging in technical discussions, solution reviews, architecture conversations, and delivery problem-solving when required.

Agile Delivery & Governance:

- Implement and mature Agile and SAFe delivery practices across programs.

- Establish robust governance mechanisms covering sprint execution, PI planning, release management, dependency management, and portfolio reporting.

- Monitor delivery health through KPIs, dashboards, velocity, quality metrics, productivity, utilization, and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure governance drives execution rather than becoming a reporting exercise.

Risk & Operational Management:

- Proactively identify delivery, technical, resource, and schedule risks.

- Develop and execute mitigation and contingency plans before risks impact customer commitments.

- Effectively manage critical escalations and production issues with a calm, structured, and solution-oriented approach.

- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned.

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

- Build trusted relationships with customer executives, delivery leaders, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders.

- Serve as the primary offshore delivery leader, providing executive-level communication and transparent program reporting.

- Collaborate effectively with onsite teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful program execution.

- Influence customer decisions through credibility, execution excellence, and trusted partnerships.

People Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop Delivery Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, QA Leads, and engineering teams.

- Build strong succession plans and develop future delivery leaders.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and employee engagement.

- Create high-performing teams focused on customer success and business outcomes.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

- 18+ years of progressive experience in enterprise software engineering and delivery.

- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development before moving into delivery leadership.

- Proven experience leading large software development and QA programs with 50+ team members, preferably across multiple concurrent projects.

- Extensive experience managing global delivery engagements for international customers, preferably within consulting or managed services organizations.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Engineering, DevOps, Cloud technologies, and enterprise delivery models.

- Demonstrated experience implementing Agile and SAFe frameworks at scale.

- Exposure to AI-driven software engineering and modern engineering productivity tools is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

- SAFe, Scrum, PMP, AWS, or Cloud certifications are preferred.

- Experience working with global consulting organizations and Fortune 500 clients is highly desirable.
