NPD Quality Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities 

Review of design records and participate in RTS sign off, create review records and plan based on review in the APQP
Participate in team feasibility review and confirm Organizational ability to inspect all specified characteristics, clarify ambiguities in GD&T, and evaluate adequacy of current Quality infrastructural facility for manufacturing and control of the product.
Evaluate the Process flow chart and Process FMEA for adequacy and create detection plans for high severity and high occurrence failure modes/causes as applicable.
Create In-process Quality Matrix, QCPC for process and product parameters based on the recommendations of the PFMEA and Final inspection standards inline with customer standards.
Plan and implement online gages and inspection aids
Sign off process flow and fixture designs based on GMP/GDP checklists.
Monitor APQP time plan and raise red flags when process is found fall short of time, quality or cost targets.
Receive gauges and get them calibrated and implement for use in line before PPAP
Conduct MSA studies and approve gages for use in line
Conduct preliminary and initial process capability studies for all Key Major and Critical characteristics.
Create the Master data in the SPC station.
Review readiness for PPAP run before scheduled date of PPAP and ensure PPAP takes place smoothly on scheduled date
Create Checklists for patrol, dock audit, first off inspection and operator inspections to be used during mass production.
Provide feedback during ramp up on defect phenomena occurrence and location matrices to reduce rejections during ramp up.

Job Requirements :

• 4-10 years of experience in NPD Quality. Experience in Die Casting QA
