Medical Caller

Role Description The Medical Caller is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting the practice by managing patient and provider communication via phone and digital channels. Day-to-day tasks include making and receiving calls to schedule, confirm, and update appointments, verifying patient information, and documenting interactions accurately in the electronic health record or practice management system. The role involves communicating with patients, families, and healthcare facilities to relay information, clarify instructions, and assist with care coordination related to neurology services. The Medical Caller will follow established protocols, maintain confidentiality, and escalate clinical concerns to licensed medical professionals when needed. This position requires consistent, professional communication, attention to detail, and timely follow-up to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills, including clear phone etiquette and the ability to interact with patients, families, and clinical staff professionally.
• Proficiency with electronic health records or practice management software, along with basic computer skills (email, scheduling systems, data entry).
• Excellent organizational skills, including time management, multitasking, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
• Attention to detail and reliability in following protocols, handling sensitive information, and protecting patient confidentiality (HIPAA awareness preferred).
• Prior experience in a US Healthcare- medical office, neurology practice, telemedicine environment, or healthcare call center is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in IST night shift in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
