Market Controller – India and South Asia
Key responsibilities
Act as Finance Business Partner to the India commercial organization, enabling profitable growth through strong financial insight, commercial decision support and effective financial governance.
- Partner with Sales in customer negotiations, providing financial scenarios, negotiation guardrails and evaluation of commercial trade-offs to maximize profitability and returns
- Support pricing strategy and governance, including price increases, discounting, margin thresholds and customer-specific pricing decisions
- Monitor market financial performance versus budget and forecast, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions
- Lead commercial forecasting for revenue, volume, pricing and profitability in collaboration with Sales
- Develop financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support key commercial decisions and negotiations
- Review key customer contracts and commercial conditions to ensure financial commitments, rebates, pricing and investments are correctly reflected and monitored
- Perform post-investment reviews of filler and customer investments against approved business cases, profitability and expected payback
- Partner with Sales to improve receivables, payment terms, overdue collections and working capital performance
- Drive customer profitability and cost-to-serve analysis, identifying opportunities to improve margins and overall customer value creation
- Provide financial insights and constructive challenge to commercial leadership, identifying risks and opportunities and driving actions to improve business performance
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred
- Additional qualifications in Finance, Controlling or Business Management is an advantage
