Manager UK VAT (6 months contractual role)

UK VAT Manager Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review UK VAT compliance, including VAT returns, reconciliations and timely filings.
• Manage complex UK VAT matters, HMRC queries, audits, refund claims and historical corrections.
• Provide technical guidance on UK VAT treatment and identify potential VAT risks and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) and maintain robust VAT controls and documentation.
• Manage client/stakeholder relationships and oversee timely delivery of VAT engagements.
• Review team deliverables, provide technical guidance and support team development.

Qualification & Experience

• CA / equivalent professional qualification
• 9-14years years of relevant UK VAT experience, with strong technical and review exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation, HMRC requirements, VAT compliance and advisory.
• Prior experience in team management and stakeholder/client handling preferred.
