Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end operational execution of marketing communications within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) — including campaign builds, journey orchestration, segmentation, and deployment across email and WhatsApp channels.
• Build, QA, and deploy high-quality, responsive email templates and landing page modules using HTML/CSS with a strong UI/UX sensibility, ensuring pixel-perfect rendering across devices, email clients, and dark mode.
• Design and implement multi-step journeys in Journey Builder, leveraging behavioural triggers, audience splits, and engagement data to deliver contextually relevant communications at scale.
• Manage audience segmentation and data extensions in SFMC using SQL and AMPscript to drive personalisation and dynamic content delivery.
• Collaborate with CRM strategy, content, and design teams to translate briefs into high-performing email experiences, balancing creative quality with technical execution.
• Own deliverability health: monitor sender reputation, maintain list hygiene, manage suppression lists, and implement best practices to maximise inbox placement rates.
• Set up A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times; analyse results and institutionalise learnings into a testing playbook.
• Develop and maintain SFMC reporting at campaign-level and journey-level performance metrics including open rates, CTR, conversion, and revenue attribution.
• Work cross-functionally with the CRM, analytics, product, and tech teams to ensure seamless data flows, integration integrity, and platform health.
• Maintain SFMC platform hygiene: manage data extension architecture, automations, and user access; proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Manage WhatsApp as a performance channel within the CRM stack — building and executing WhatsApp campaigns and conversational journeys and optimising for engagement and conversion alongside email.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud - proficiency across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder is essential.
• Strong HTML and CSS skills with a proven ability to build responsive, visually polished email templates from scratch; familiarity with MJML or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Demonstrable UI/UX sensibility — understanding of email design principles, accessibility standards, typography, and visual hierarchy; able to contribute meaningfully to design decisions, not just execute them.
• Working knowledge of AMPscript for dynamic content personalisation and SQL for segmentation queries within SFMC data extensions.
• Experience with email deliverability tooling and best practices (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, inbox testing tools, list hygiene protocols).
• Proficiency in A/B testing methodology and translating test results into optimisation decisions.
• Analytical and data-driven — comfortable interpreting campaign data, building dashboards, and presenting actionable insights to marketing and leadership teams.
• Experience in B2C environments with large-scale marketing databases; Ed-tech or education sector background is an advantage.
• SFMC Email Specialist or Consultant certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience running WhatsApp as a CRM or performance channel — including campaign execution, journey design, and optimisation; familiarity with WhatsApp Business API and integration platforms is a strong advantage.
• Strong project management skills — able to manage multiple campaign builds simultaneously with rigour and accuracy.
