The Opportunity

A growing chain of premium, specialty restaurants and cafés in Mumbai, known for distinctive concepts, high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.

As we grow and prepare for expansion into new markets, we are looking for a passionate Manager – Learning & Development to own and build the organisation's learning and capability agenda.

This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for creating a strong learning culture and ensuring that our people and service capabilities grow alongside the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Learning & Development strategy across all restaurants, cafés and corporate functions.
• Identify training needs and build structured learning journeys across levels – from frontline restaurant teams to managers and leaders.
• Design and deliver programmes covering guest service, restaurant operations, behavioural skills, leadership and managerial capability.
• Build strong induction and onboarding programmes and support training for new restaurant openings.
• Lead the selection, implementation and ongoing management of an LMS, creating a scalable digital learning ecosystem for the organisation.
• Develop engaging learning content, SOP-based training modules, assessments and certification programmes.
• Work closely with Operations, Culinary, HR and business leaders to identify capability gaps and improve performance.
• Measure training effectiveness and establish clear L&D metrics and dashboards.
• Manage and develop a small L&D team of 1–2 members and build the function as the organisation expands.

Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for someone with Learning & Development / Training experience within the Restaurant, Hotel, Hospitality or QSR industry.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong experience in L&D/Training, preferably in a premium restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations, service standards and frontline capability development.
• Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of LMS implementation and management.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and content-development skills.
• Ability to engage equally effectively with frontline employees, restaurant managers and senior leadership.
• Strong ownership, creativity and a passion for developing people.
• Experience managing multi-location training would be highly desirable.
