Role: Manager– Fees & Financial Aid

We are looking for a Manager – Fees & Financial Aid to lead and manage Plaksha University's fee administration, scholarship and financial aid operations, student financing processes, and related policy implementation. The role will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, student support, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration across Admissions, Finance, Registrar, and Student Affairs functions.

Job Description

Financial Aid Management

• Oversee the end-to-end administration of institutional scholarships, financial aid, grants, and student financing programs.
• Manage financial aid application review processes, need assessment methodologies, verification procedures, and award recommendations.
• Ensure fair, transparent, and consistent application of financial aid policies and frameworks.
• Review special cases, appeals, and exceptional circumstances, presenting recommendations to relevant committees where required.
• Develop and refine financial aid processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and student experience.

Fee Administration & Collections

• Lead fee planning, fee collection, invoicing, payment tracking, reconciliation, and refund processes across university programs.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and work closely with students and families to ensure timely fee payments.
• Design and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce payment delinquencies.
• Collaborate with Finance and academic teams to ensure accurate fee records and reporting.

Policy, Compliance & Governance

• Develop, review, and implement policies related to fees, scholarships, financial aid, refunds, and student financing.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, audit requirements, data privacy standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness for all financial aid and fee-related processes.
• Establish and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational consistency and service excellence.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Generate analytical reports and dashboards on fee collections, scholarship allocations, financial aid utilization, student funding needs, and enrollment trends.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to support enrollment management and financial planning.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a senior point of contact for students and families regarding fee payment plans, financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and appeals.
• Handle complex and sensitive cases with professionalism, discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.
• Ensure timely resolution of student queries while maintaining high standards of service excellence.
• Verify that information provided on various financial aid forms and legal documents is accurate, current, and consistent with applicable supporting documentation.

Process & Systems Management

• Work closely with Admissions, Registrar, Finance, Student Affairs, and academic leadership to support institutional goals.

Who are we looking for

Preferably a master's degree in finance, Management, Education Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

8–12 years of relevant experience in financial aid, scholarships, student finance, fee administration, enrollment management, or higher education operations.

Demonstrated experience managing complex processes, policy implementation, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong analytical, financial, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with ERP, SIS, CRM, and reporting systems is highly desirable.
