Manager Economics, Research & Public Policy

Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Economics, Development Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, or a related field. An Economics background is preferred.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead economic research, policy analysis, and strategic knowledge development. The role involves analyzing India's economic growth and development, identifying emerging trends, and developing research-based insights and policy recommendations to support long-term economic and national development priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research on India's economy, economic growth, and development trends.
• Analyze economic data, government policies, industry trends, and global economic developments.
• Develop research reports, policy briefs, white papers, presentations, and strategic discussion papers.
• Monitor key economic indicators and maintain economic databases and dashboards.
• Conduct sectoral research, state-level economic analysis, and international benchmarking.
• Identify emerging economic challenges, opportunities, and areas requiring policy intervention.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations to support strategic decision-making and policy development.
• Translate complex economic data and research findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and research-based content for senior leadership and stakeholder engagements.
• Engage with senior industry leaders, government officials, policymakers, academia, think tanks, and research institutions.
• Manage multiple research assignments and contribute to long-term economic strategy development.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in economic research, policy research, consulting, think tanks, government, industry associations, development organizations, or research institutions.
• Strong understanding of the Indian economy, economic policies, and development issues.
• Proven ability to conduct research, analyze data, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, Stata, or SPSS will be an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in policy advocacy, regulatory analysis, strategic consulting, or institutional research will be preferred.
• Ability to manage projects independently, handle multiple assignments, and work with senior stakeholders.
