About this role
Role & responsibilities
1. Job Purpose
To support the Packaging Development team in product bench-marking, packaging material testing, dimensional analysis, transit trial evaluations, and depot visits. The role will provide hands-on exposure to packaging materials, performance evaluation, quality improvement, and packaging optimization across different product categories.
2. Key Responsibilities
a. Packaging Bench-marking
- Conduct competition bench-marking of products and packaging solutions for product categories.
- Prepare bench-marking reports, Identify opportunities for packaging improvement
b. Packaging Material Testing
- Test and evaluate packaging materials for dimension and functional performance - including laminates, bottles, caps/closures, and shipper cartons.
- Record and report test results, identify deviations, and support root-cause analysis under the guidance of the Packaging team.
c. Transit Trials, Inspection & Reporting
- Inspect & record transit trials observations evaluating package performance.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to track corrective and preventive actions.
f. Packaging Development Work Support
- Coordinate with Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and vendors for delivery as per Project timelines.
- Maintain technical documentation, trial records, test reports, and project trackers.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: PGDM/B.E./B.Tech. in Packaging Technology, Polymer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of packaging materials, package testings.
- Good analytical, observation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills and willingness to travel across India, for depot visits and packaging trials.
