About this role
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe system programs using various programming languages such as SMPE, JES2, RACF.
- Provide technical support to end-users on mainframe systems and troubleshoot issues related to operating systems and applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify requirements for new features or enhancements in mainframe systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including backups, archiving, and monitoring of mainframe systems.
Job Requirements :
- 6-10 years of experience in Mainframe System Programming with expertise in administration of mainframes running IBM's z/OS operating system.
- Strong knowledge of SMPE (System Monitoring Productivity Enhancement) toolset for monitoring mainframe performance.
- Experience working with JES2 (Job Entry Subsystem) commands for job scheduling and control.
- Familiarity with RACF (Resource Allocation Control Facility) security model for managing user access to resources.
