Linux Lead

We are looking for an experienced Linux Lead with strong expertise in Embedded Linux development, Board Support Package (BSP), Linux kernel internals, and device drivers. The candidate will lead technical development, system integration, debugging, and optimization activities for embedded Linux-based products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Embedded Linux development and BSP design, customization, and integration.
• Provide technical leadership in Linux kernel development, configuration, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Design, develop, customize, and optimize Linux device drivers.
• Drive end-to-end system integration, including hardware, kernel, drivers, middleware, and application layers.
• Troubleshoot complex kernel-level, driver-level, and system-level issues.
• Optimize system performance, stability, boot time, and resource utilization.
• Work with Yocto and/or Buildroot for embedded Linux builds, configuration, and product customization.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and kernel-level software components.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, middleware, and application teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish development best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and stakeholder interactions.

Requirements:

• A technically strong Linux professional who can lead Embedded Linux and BSP activities, make architecture-level decisions, resolve complex system issues, and guide a team through development, integration, and product delivery.
• 8-12 years of experience in Linux/Embedded Linux development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals, kernel configuration, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with BSP development and customization.
• Expertise in Linux device driver architecture, development, customization, and debugging.
• Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++ and shell scripting.
• Experience with Yocto and/or Buildroot build systems.
• Proven experience in end-to-end system integration and complex debugging.
• Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving issue resolution.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with embedded hardware platforms and hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of bootloaders, kernel bring-up, memory management, and power management.
• Experience with performance profiling and system-level optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and embedded software development workflows.
