About The Role

Energy, Infra lawyer to assist in legal workstream for Nava's data centre, joint-venture, and real estate related institutional co-investment, joint ventures transactions across India and Asia, reporting into the legal team.

What You'll Do

• Structure, draft, and negotiate Real estate and project related JV agreements, co-investment/subscription agreements, and land/asset acquisition documents for datacenter transactions
• Assist in legal workstreams on transactions with institutional partners including power and infrastructure deals, REIT/InvIT-affiliated groups across the deal lifecycle: term sheet, diligence, definitive documentation, closing
• Advise on deal structuring (equity stakes, asset transfers, co-investment and platform structures, REIT/InvIT sponsor-level participation where relevant)
• Conduct and manage due diligence on power, infrastructure, land title, zoning, regulatory approvals, and encumbrances specific to Indian real estate, and coordinate diligence and compliance in relation to REIT/InvIT-held or REIT-eligible assets where applicable
• Advise on REITs Regulations and InvITs Regulations touchpoints where transaction structures involve REIT/InvIT sponsors, managers, or trustees, including unit holder-facing agreement
• Support regulatory and incentive-related filings tied to transactions (e.g., state incentives, FDI compliance, RERA filings)
• Partner closely with sales and datacenter supply teams to align legal terms with commercial objectives
  
  

What You'll Need

• 7–10 years of experience spanning real estate M&A, power, energy, infrastructure and investment transactions, direct exposure to JVs, land acquisitions, investments, platform or co-investment structures.
• Direct transactional experience with REITs and/or InvITs, sponsor, manager, or trustee-side work, unit holder agreements, or SEBI (REITs)/(InvITs) regulatory filings.
• Experience with datacenter, digital infrastructure, telecom infrastructure, industrial, logistics, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of Indian real estate regulatory frameworks (RERA, land laws, state-level approvals) and comfort with FDI/sectoral compliance as it intersects with transaction structuring
• Exposure to cross-border or APAC transactions is a strong plus, though not mandatory at entry
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with direct founder/leadership interaction and pipeline pressure on live deals
• Strong stakeholder management skills to work across internal teams, external counsel, and counterparties
