As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Lead (Last Mile) to join our team.

Role Overview:

The Last Mile Lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing last-mile delivery operations for FMCG products delivery to Kirana trade outlets deploying vehicle and delivery associates at the field level. The role focuses on SLA driven delivery excellence, vendor on-boarding and management, route efficiency, team leadership, and strict control of daily collections and reconciliation with deliveries. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-efficient deliveries, while maintaining 100% visibility and reconciliation across all delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities:

Last Mile Operations & Management:

- Oversee end-to-end last-mile delivery operations from distribution hubs to Kirana stores.

- Ensure adherence to SLAs, TATs, delivery schedules, and order accuracy.

- Monitor daily dispatch, vehicle loading, route execution, and delivery completion.

Vehicle Management & Delivery Continuity:

- Maintain a structured and updated database of third-party vehicle partners and backup transport contacts.

- Ensure uninterrupted vehicle availability to avoid any impact on daily dispatch, peak volumes, or contingencies.

- Proactively manage transport risks and ensure delivery continuity across warehouses.

Route Planning & Cost Optimization:

- Design and optimize delivery routes and zones to improve drop density and reduce turnaround time.

- Drive cost control initiatives to lower cost per delivery without compromising service quality.

- Continuously review route performance and implement efficiency improvements.

3PL On-Boarding & Vendor Management:

- Govern performance of all 3PL partners, ensuring manpower and vehicle availability as per operational demand.

- Monitor vendor SLAs, productivity, and compliance, and drive corrective actions for gaps or risks.

Team Leadership & Manpower Governance:

- Lead and manage delivery executives, supervisors, and hub leaders, ensuring optimal manpower planning and deployment.

- Drive productivity, attendance discipline, performance monitoring, and continuous capability development.

- Build a culture of accountability, safety, and execution excellence across last-mile teams.

Cash Collection & Financial Control:

- Own daily cash collections from COD deliveries across all routes and warehouses.

- Ensure 100% same-day cash reconciliation and timely handover to Client.

- Identify and resolve cash discrepancies and enforce strict cash-handling controls.

Client Coordination & Escalation Management:

- Act as the single point of contact for the client on all last-mile operational matters.

- Own service delivery commitments, reporting, and escalations.

- This role does not involve direct interaction with end customers.

Pay Range:

Rs. 25 LPA - 35 LPA + ESOPs
