Lead - FMCG (Non Food)

Zulu is a fast-commerce platform for affordable everyday products, tailored for value-conscious India. We are reimagining how everyday products are discovered and delivered through a highly efficient, inventory-led model focused on speed, affordability, and convenience.

We are looking for a Lead – Non Food FMCG to build and manage our non-food FMCG categories across sourcing, vendor management, assortment, pricing and supply operations.

This is a hands-on category and supply role for someone who has strong experience managing vendors and products across categories such as personal care, home care, cleaning products, hygiene, household consumables and other everyday essentials.

You will be responsible for identifying the right assortment, developing supplier relationships, negotiating commercials and ensuring reliable supply of high-velocity products.

What You'll Do

Category & Assortment Management

• Build and manage the Non-Food FMCG assortment across relevant everyday categories
• Identify high-frequency utility and consumption products suitable for our customer base
• Evaluate SKUs based on demand, margins, pricing, repeatability and inventory turns
• Identify new brands, products and regional opportunities
• Continuously optimize the assortment based on category performance

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Identify and onboard manufacturers, brands, distributors, wholesalers and regional suppliers
• Build and manage long-term vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing, margins, MOQ, credit terms and other commercial terms
• Develop a strong supplier pipeline across relevant categories
• Work with suppliers to improve availability and supply consistency

Sourcing & Supply Operations

• Source products at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards
• Track fill rates, lead times, availability and procurement efficiency
• Work with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment
• Identify and resolve vendor and supply-related issues
• Improve vendor onboarding and procurement processes

Market & Competition

• Track competitor assortment, pricing and promotions
• Monitor category trends and emerging consumer needs
• Develop relationships across wholesale and distribution markets
• Identify opportunities for direct sourcing from manufacturers and regional suppliers

What We're Looking For

Strong Fit

• 3–7 years of experience in FMCG category management, sourcing, procurement, vendor management, seller management or supply operations
• Experience managing Non-Food FMCG categories
• Strong vendor and supplier management experience
• Understanding of brands, distributors, wholesalers and regional supply ecosystems
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Understanding of assortment planning, pricing, margins and inventory
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
