Jr. Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in erection, testing, and commissioning of:
• MV AIS / GIS Panels
• Switchyards up to 220 KV
• EHV Breakers & Isolators up to 400 KV
• Power & Distribution Transformers
• HV Cables up to 66 KV
• Support programming, parameterization, testing, and calibration of:
• Numerical Relays
• Electromechanical Relays
• Conduct on-site inspections and testing to ensure compliance with:
• Technical specifications
• Safety standards
• Quality norms

Electrical Operation & Maintenance (O&M)

• Assist in overhauling and servicing of breakers and isolators from OEMs like:
• Siemens
• Schneider
• ABB
• Participate in operation, maintenance, and supervision of electrical equipment at project sites.

Electrical Retrofitting & Revamping

• Support execution of:
• Circuit breaker retrofit solutions
• Switchyard rehabilitation projects
• Learn relay retrofitting:
• Electromechanical to Numerical Relays
• Assist in PLC revamping activities.

Project & Documentation Support

• Provide on-site support to senior engineers and site supervisors.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of:
• Test reports
• Progress reports
• Safety documentation

Preferred candidate profile

Education

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• B.Tech / B.E in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

Experience

• Freshers are welcome
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in electrical projects preferred

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of:
• Electrical systems & power systems
• Switchyards, transformers, breakers, relays
• Knowledge of industrial electrical practices is an advantage.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and field-oriented
• Ability to work at project sites and meet deadlines

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel and work at multiple project locations
• Comfortable working in site and field environments
• Ready to work in shifts, if required
