- 3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive BIW Design using CATIA V5
- Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body structure from concept to production stage
- Able to develop master sections and feasible study
- Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.
- Good understanding of sheet metal parts material, manufacturing process, assembly, crashworthiness
- Good knowledge in GD&T, sheet metal tolerance, DFM & DFA
- Optimize the designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency and manufacturing without compromising the performance
- Provide design solutions based on CAE feedback
- Ability to take independent technical decisions based on engineering requirement
- Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.
- Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.
