Java Full Stack Developer with Azure

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced **Azure Migration Lead** to drive and manage enterprise application migration initiatives to Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in **Azure Lift-and-Shift migration strategies**, solid knowledge of **Java technology stacks**, and proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale cloud migration projects. The candidate will lead migration assessments, design migration roadmaps, oversee execution, and ensure successful delivery with minimal business disruption.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Lead end-to-end migration of enterprise applications from on-premises or legacy environments to Microsoft Azure.

- Plan, design, and execute Lift-and-Shift (Rehost) migration strategies for business-critical applications.

- Conduct application discovery, dependency analysis, and migration assessments.

- Work closely with application, infrastructure, network, security, and business teams to define migration plans.

- Develop migration roadmaps, cutover plans, risk mitigation strategies, and rollback procedures.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance during migration execution.

- Ensure adherence to Azure best practices, security standards, and governance policies.

- Collaborate with Java development teams to assess application readiness and modernization opportunities.

- Monitor migration progress, resolve technical challenges, and ensure timely project delivery.

- Support post-migration validation, stabilization, performance tuning, and optimization.

- Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular status updates to leadership teams.

**Required Skills**

- Strong hands-on experience in **Microsoft Azure Cloud**.

- Proven experience in **Azure Lift-and-Shift (Rehost) Migration** projects.

- Strong understanding of **Java technology stacks**, including:

- Java/J2EE

- ActiveMQ/OpenMQ

- Spring Boot

- Tomcat

- WebLogic/WebSphere (preferred)

- REST APIs and Microservices

- Experience with Azure migration tools such as:

- Azure Migrate

- Azure Site Recovery

- Azure Monitor

- Azure Application Insights

- Good understanding of Azure services including:

- Virtual Machines

- Virtual Networks

- Storage Accounts

- Load Balancers

- Azure App Services

- Azure SQL

- Key Vault

- Strong project planning, execution, and coordination skills.

- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
